Austin Symphony Chorus

The Austin Symphony Chorus is a group of singers from the Austin area who come together to make music! We perform with the Austin Symphony Orchestra (typically in the spring) and perform both new and classical works.

Spring 2023 Rehearsal Information

On our April 30th performance, we will be singing Schubert’s Mass in G Major (beautiful 30 minute work sung in Latin) and Howard Hanson’s Song of Democracy (dramatic 10 minute work sung in English). Here’s all the information you will need to participate:

All rehearsals are in the high school choir room.  Use the MacPhail/Annex entrance on the building’s south side. We practice Sundays from 2-4 pm and Thursdays from 7-9 pm. The dates are March 26, 30, April 2, 6, 13, 16, 20, 23. Dress rehearsals are Thursday the 27th at 7:00 pm on the Knowlton Auditorium stage and Saturday the 29th at 9:00 am in the high school band room (MacPhail/Annex 2nd floor). The concert is Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 pm in Knowlton Auditorium. The cost for the books is $10.00.

Advance tickets are available for $25 from Coffee House on Main or Hy-Vee in Austin.
Tickets at the door the day of the performance are $30. Children under 18 and college students with a valid ID attend free of charge.
